Mark Walkling started working at Coates Brothers in July 1980, and during the ‘80s worked in various technical roles - working in raw materials, liquid ink development and as a customer support technician.

Mark joined the international technical support team, providing technical advice to Coates Lorilleux technical teams around the world. In 1994, Mark started in the UV flexo development team and worked with many forward-thinking customers and press manufacturers to help develop the UV flexo process from its beginnings to the major printing process it is now. It was real pioneering work in the ‘90s, and look at UV flexo now!

In 2008 Mark started a new role as product manager for Sun Chemical’s european label market business, focussing on UV flexo of course, but managing the array of ‘analogue’ technologies that goes into a product portfolio aimed at the label market.
