Maja  Desgrées du Loû has been working for the European Commission since 2002. She’s a lawyer with a previous working experience in the national/Slovenian judicial system, and holds a Masters Degree in EU law from the College of Europe in Brugge.

 

In the Commission, she first worked in the legal service and then as political analyst in Slovenia. She joined DG ENV in 2008, where she first worked on legal cases across all environmental sectors from air, waste, to water and nature protection.

 

She’s been working in the Waste Management and Secondary Materials Unit, where she is in charge of the revision of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive.
